It is recommended to have your air conditioning system serviced at least every 2 years.
10% of air con permeates from your system every year - letting your system run low
on refrigerant will provide poor oil circulation. An air conditioning service is sometimes called an air conditioning recharge or regas.
A well maintained vehicle air conditioning obviously keeps you gloriously cool in summer
but also works in winter to demist the screen and windows for good all round vision.
We service, troubleshoot, repair and re-charge the air conditioning systems of cars,
vans, mini-buses, commercial and agricultural vehicles throughout Sheppey and Sheerness. We can also offer a deodoriser treatment
which will get rid of fungus and bacteria.
Air Conditioning Service - £60.00
The air conditioning service includes the following:
System inspection (service ports, belt tension, corrosion, pipe work, obstructions.)
Pre-service air conditioning system performance check.
Ultra Violet Dye Additive - This service involves the use of a special UV dye injected into the system during the Recharge procedure. This is the most reliable way of determining a leak within your air conditioning, and alleviates the need for paying excessive labour charges to fault find the system and find any potential leak.
Recover any refrigerant present to waste or recycling cylinders.
Deep vacuum system and Re-charge using correct amount of refrigerant.
Add correct grade and amount of compressor oil.
Final performance check.
Attach service sticker.
Advice on use and future preventative measures for leaks.
Deodoriser Treatment - £15.00
The pure nature of the air conditioning
operation means that fungus and bacteria can build up on the
internal evaporator of the car. This build up of bacteria
can result in what is commonly knows as "sick car syndrome."
Not only is an offensive smell given off whenever the air
conditioning is switched on, but occupants can feel sick or
contract ear, nose and throat infections from your system.
We treat the evaporator with a specially formulated Air
conditioner anti-bacterial spray that kills all the bugs and
leaves your air conditioning smelling fresh.
Fault Finding - £43.00 / hour +VAT
If your air conditioning is not functioning at all, or is not
operating as you think it should we offer a fault finding and
Services assume there is some refrigerant left in your
system to test with and it is possible to run the system in
its "faulty" state. There would be a further cost if your air
conditioning system was found to have leaks, a charge of £30
for the pressure testing, this charge also applies if the
system is empty. Appointments not always necessary.
